If you compare this with my other photograph from Saltwick showing the Nab in silhouette against the setting sun, this photograph probably doesn't provoke the same visceral response. However, just as with my dietary metaphor at the end of that photograph's description, this photograph is obviously a fruity fibre breakfast. Don't worry I won't push the analogy any further but this is the sort of photography where I feel I am being most creative. I'm seeing potential in what would appear to be an unpromising subject and interpreting it in such a way that I 'add value'. The result, hopefully, being a photograph that rewards patience, that can requires some time to 'settle in'. I think that this is one of my favourite pictures for just these reasons but I don't expect anyone to agree - after all, photography like most art has fundamentally personal foundations.
