More Eigg Photos
After my recent post about scouting locations using the Internet, Neil Bryce and Richard Childs sent me some more pictures of the area. Since then Richard has also confirmed he will be coming to Eigg with us (us being Dav Thomas, Paul Arthur, Jenny McLennan (see the latest issue of Outdoor Photographer) and Tamara Kuziminski). Its panning out to be an awesome week and with the bumper bonus 120 film and holders that Mr Cornish has contributed, I don't think I'll be short of some stock (although I had best be careful with the Velvia quickload with it's replacement price of £90 for 20 sheets!!).

I didn't know about the price of Velvia getting so silly, it doesn't look good for the future of the film does it! Looks like I'll be using my Grafmatics when my Quickloads run out soon.
really looking forward to the week in Eigg and Skye :0)

Hope you all have a jolly time up there. I'm glad Jenny is joining you, we met on a UKLF trip to Maldon and was bowled over with her work.

I'm really looking forward to Eigg and delighted to be invited, although I feel totally over-shadowed by the company and I'm not sure I deserve such kind words. But thank you, Paul.
My current problem is a serious film shortage. I am waiting for some Velvia quickloads from the USA (I will let you know how I get on) and decided I must learn to use DDS for my A sheets with a quickload B sheet for any adjustments. But my plans have been thwarted! Having ordered my DDS and a change tent I then ordered some boxes of Velvia 50 from Fujifilm (who had 10 sheet boxes at a good price) only to find out this morning that Fujifilm can supply me with ....one box of 10 sheets, and one box of Provia 100 quickloads. No more stocks of either for 2 weeks. Hey ho. I may just have to use my roll film back instead.
The only good news is that the man I spoke to at Fujifilm said that there would be more Velvia quickloads coming in November and that he doesn't think a price rise is planned until next March. So it may just be a film flow problem, but I am not sure....

Hi Jenny,
Good news about Fuji re-stocking! We were getting a bit worried about availability of film. I'm sure we can spare a few each if you are really tight :-)

You'll enjoy Eigg for sure, even if the weather's rubbish you can opt for the huge variety of sumptuous detail opportunities on Laig Bay. That's great shot of Richard's of the An Sgurr. It's quite a scramble towards the summit and with good conditions the views could be great. Richard has also made some great images from Laig onto Rum. Enjoy, you lucky so-and-sos!

Really useful info here on planning trips - thanks Tim. I'll try some of the methods out on Eskdale as I I'm hoping to go there in October.
Nice to see the range of views on Eigg as I was only able to visit Bay of Laig when I visited on the Light and Land Knoydart trip.
