Taken, along with another few photographs, during wonderful day trip to Robin Hood's Bay to stay with David Tolcher and Jon Brock. This was the last picture taken and the sun was just touching the horizon and there were glints of warm light reflected off the stones and bedrock. The Nab was the obvious attraction (at least the other 8 photographers seemed to think so) but I had seen these two rocks nestling together and wanted to use the low light to accentuate the their shape. Just as I got my composition balanced, the low sun angled up to highlight the breaking, low level cloud. After processing the picture, I realised how much I liked the bands of silhouetted rock across the horizon as the Nab's outcrop crosses over the farther cliffs and Saltwick Nab. By the time I got my large format camera out, the sun had set and the light had gone.
