Whilst visiting my parents in Stoke on Trent, I convinced my Dad that he would like to go out on a sunrise trip. We checked the maps and the best view of the rising sun would be over the Peak District from Cloud End, Congleton. We arrived about thirty minutes before sunrise and I setup with view of where I 'thought' the sun might rise. I was caught by surprise, still measuring the light when the sun poked it's head up. A panicked reappraisal of the exposure and an extra grad resulted in the shot here.
I would highly recommend this area for a walk as it has some of the best views in Staffordshire and the mists in the plains around it are a sight to behold. My Dad didn't regret missing out on his sleep!
